Ways to Create Your Skincare Routine

It does not matter if your skincare routine has 3 or 9 steps like seen here. That is because you can create your skincare routine properly when you put the online beauty products you bought in the right order.

Regardless of the type of skin you have, you should start your routine with a clean and toned face. Then, you put on products with active and concentrated ingredients and finish everything with your moisturizer. During the daytime, you need to apply SPF.

That said, here are the more detailed ways to create your skincare routine:

Facial Cleanser

You have to wash your face every morning and at night. You do this by rubbing a small amount of gentle face wash between your clean palms. You gently massage your whole face with mild pressure.

To rinse your face, wash your hands and face with water until you have gotten rid of the face wash and dirt. Pat dry your face gently with a soft towel. If you have makeup on, you need to double cleanse at night.

Toner

After washing your face, use toner before applying other products. You can put a few drops of your toner on a cotton pad or in your palms and gently do upward swipes on your face. For exfoliating toners, use them at night. For hydrating toners, you can use them in the morning and at night.

Serum

It is ideal to apply serums in the morning because these have antioxidants. For instance, a vitamin C serum provides protection from free radicals that you may get in the day. You can use moisturizing serums at night to prevent your skin from drying out while you are sleeping.

Eye Cream

For the area under your eyes, you can use your regular moisturizer. Nevertheless, you can use a special eye cream and put it under your moisturizer as it has a thinner consistency than moisturizers.

Spot Treatment

Spot treatment creams are ideal to use at night when the body is trying to recover. When choosing spot treatment, be careful when you layer them since doing it can irritate your skin.

Moisturizer

Aside from hydrating the skin, moisturizers lock in your other skincare products. In the morning, it is recommended to use moisturizers with a lightweight formulation and with SPF 30 or higher. At night, you can use night creams that have a thicker consistency. If you have dry skin, it is recommended to moisturize both morning and night.

Retinoid

Retinoids are derivatives of vitamin A which includes retinol. These lessen breakouts, fine lines, and dark spots. However, for those with sensitive skin, using this product may cause irritation.

Face Oil

If you want to include face oil in your skincare routine, you need to apply it after applying other beauty products. No product will be absorbed into your skin if you apply oil first.

Sunscreen

Sun protection is vital in all skin regimens. Using sunscreen protects your skin from harsh UV rays that can cause skin cancer or hasten skin aging.

Conclusion

Finally, what you need to remember when choosing the products to include in your skincare routine is to consider your skin type. Your skin can maximize all the benefits of the products that you will use.
